How to use the Bach Flower Remedies
Using Bach Flower Remedies is simple, gentle, and very natural. You do not need to be an expert or have any special training. What matters most is that you listen to yourself and choose what feels supportive for you in this moment of your life.
Each of the 38 Bach Flowers supports a different emotional state. Some help with fear, others with overwhelm, guilt, sensitivity, sadness, or mental restlessness. There is no “perfect” choice, just what feels most aligned with how you are feeling right now.
You can read about each remedy in detail on my Bach Flower page.
Making your own personalised blend
If you want to make your own combination at home, here is a simple way to do it.
Take a clean glass dropper bottle (up to 30 ml).
Fill it with spring water or mineral water.
Add one teaspoon of brandy or cider vinegar as a natural preservative.
Then add:
two drops from each Bach Flower stock bottle you have chosen,
or four drops if you are including Rescue Remedy.
Dr Bach called this your treatment bottle, because it carries exactly what you need for your current emotional state.
You can include up to 7 or 8 different remedies in one blend.
For ongoing emotional support, adults usually take 4 drops, 4 times a day from their treatment bottle.
If you work with Bach Flowers consistently over several months, most people notice a subtle but real shift. You react differently to stress, feel more grounded, and handle challenges with more inner balance.
Who can use Bach Flower Remedies
Bach Flowers are safe for everyone:
adults, children, babies, animals, and even plants.
There are no side effects, no risk of overdose, and no dependency. They gently support your emotional system without interfering with your body or other treatments.
They are not meant to replace medical care, but they work beautifully alongside it, supporting your emotional well-being while your doctor supports your physical health.
Please note: Bach Flowers are usually preserved in brandy. If you prefer to avoid alcohol, I can prepare your blend with cider vinegar instead.
